Westminster Parsons North Water Quality Control Project

Parsons North, a Westminster Council site, has moved to chemical-free water treatment following corrosion-related issues with the existing buffer vessels.

The site had experienced severe corrosion to the base of one of the vessels, resulting in a loss of services for residents until the affected vessel could be isolated and drained.

As a precaution, both buffer vessels have now been replaced.

The two new vessels were custom made to suit the existing pipework, allowing the switch to be completed without downtime for residents.

The issue highlights how quickly corrosion can affect key system assets when water quality is not properly controlled. The site is only around four years old, making long-term system protection an important consideration for future operation.

The new vessels have been supplied with a 10-year warranty when installed alongside the eleXion chemical-free water treatment system.

By maintaining stable system water conditions without ongoing chemical dosing, the eleXion approach helps protect key plant equipment, improve reliability and support long-term system performance.

Chemical-free water treatment helps ensure:

  • Key assets remain protected
  • Equipment can reach its expected service life
  • Systems remain reliable for building users
  • Plant continues to operate as designed
  • Maintenance demands are reduced over time

This project is another example of how chemical-free water treatment can support both asset protection and resident comfort in live residential buildings.
