Holborn Viaduct is the latest high-profile commercial development to adopt a chemical-free water treatment approach.
Located at the intersection of Holborn Viaduct and Farringdon Street, the project spans 14 floors and will provide 405,000 sq ft of office space in the heart of London.
Alongside the new office space, the development will include:
- A Grade II listed south-eastern gatehouse
- Cycle parking facilities
- Cargo-bike parking
- A new wellness hub
- A new lift
The project is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum accreditation, with a strong focus on reducing embodied and operational carbon.
Following successful delivery on previous developments with Multiplex, eleXion has been specified to support water quality management across the LTHW, CHW and primary DHW systems.
Our chemical-free approach will help protect the systems from corrosion and scale, supporting long-term asset protection, system reliability and efficient operation without ongoing chemical dosing.
The eleXion package for the project includes:
- ioniX filling stations
- electrochemical reaction tanks
- viSion real-time system monitoring
By reducing reliance on traditional chemical dosing, the eleXion approach aligns with the wider environmental and sustainability goals of the development.
We are pleased to be involved in a project of this scale and look forward to supporting the delivery of long-term water quality control at Holborn Viaduct.
