Our Story
Founded in 2020, eleXion brings together expertise in water treatment and commercial heating and cooling systems.
The water quality within a system can affect its performance for years after installation. That’s why we focus on every detail, from the initial fill to the readings that show how the system is operating. We work closely with the people who design, install, and maintain each system, listening carefully and finding practical solutions, tailored to each project.
As our projects have grown, our personal approach has remained the same. We are committed to getting water quality right and providing dependable support whenever our customers need us.

Managing Director
Since co-founding eleXion in 2020, Simon Douthwaite has helped shape the company’s approach to stable system water quality, electrochemical water treatment and chemical-free corrosion protection. As Managing Director, he supports the development of eleXion’s own product range and works with consultants, contractors and commissioning teams on stable system water quality, VDI 2035 principles and alternatives to traditional chemical dosing.

With over 35 years’ industry experience, Simon is a CIBSE heat networks consultant who works with designers, specifiers, contractors, commissioning specialists, and building operators. Since joining eleXion in 2022, he has helped promote chemical-free water treatment and its benefits, helping project teams understand VDI 2035, corrosion and alternatives to chemical dosing. He also supports young engineering talent through the CIBSE Patrons and as a trustee of the Manly Trust

As Operations Director at eleXion, Ben helps keep projects and product delivery moving smoothly. Since co-founding the business in 2020, he has supported the day-to-day operations behind eleXion’s chemical-free water treatment work, helping coordinate the people, products and processes needed to deliver projects effectively. His role is focused on practical delivery, reliable service and making sure customers get the support they need throughout each project.

We are proud to support Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, a charity that provides specialist care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As a business, we believe in supporting causes that make a meaningful difference, and we are pleased to contribute to the valuable work the charity carries out every day.
